Last week a friend asked me if I do foot massages. And if I would do a full hour of foot massage. The answer was simple: Yes, I do!
I like to work (w)holistically, that's why I usually don't work on one muscle only, but include a whole area or the whole body. But feet are different. Your feet have thousands of nerve endings, which will all be stimulated by a massage. So in a way I am working the whole body by massaging the feet. That is probably the reason, why almost everyone loves his/her feet massaged ( and I always like to take on the challenge if someone tells me they are too ticklish -my success rate is around 98% !).
Your feet are the ones supporting and carrying you through your life. They bring you ahead, keep you moving. But often they get really badly treated: squeezed into shoes all day long, no air to breath and no room the stretch. And while we tend to put cream on our hands quite regularly, our feet often miss out.
So give your feet a little "thank you" today: A refreshing foot bath, a little squeeze & stretch, and some nice lotion or oil. Than let them breath and walk bare feet. They will love it!
And maybe you want to give them a special treat and book them in for a professional foot massage.
My friend's feet thought it was pure bliss...
