TOUCH-able... -able through touch

Picture

TOUCH-able is a gentle, child-focused massage
set in a familiar, safe
and comfortable environment - on a mat
and fully clothed.

This setting brings child and therapist on one level, and makes it
easy for your child to relax.

The technique used is a combination of Swedish and shiatsu
massage, but may also include elements from other bodywork techniques like reflexology, pulsing, passive stretching etc.
It is not a fixed routine, but uniquely tailored to the child's
needs on the day!

You as parent are more than welcome to stay in the room, and
I am happy to teach you your child's favorite stroke at the end
of the session.

TOUCH-able is mobile! If you are interested in bringing it to your group, kindergarten or school, please contact me!

Table massage for children & teens

Picture

Older children, teens
and children who are
used to bodywork
often prefer to get
their massage on the
table.

They love all the extra ingredients, that make it sooo relaxing:
towels and blankets, the smell of massage balms with different essential oils to choose from and the gentle, nurturing touch on
the skin!

So if your child feels comfortable with the idea of being massaged
on the table - go for it!

It's quite common to see older children and teenager with back pain, sore neck and shoulders, headaches and tight muscles due to sports.  They experience stress in school and in the relationship with their peers, the hormones kick in and start an emotional rollercoaster,
and many experience symptoms of depression and anxiety.

A peaceful and safe environment plays an essential part in helping your child to relax. That is why at the beginning of each session I will ask your child's permission to massage, and he/she will stay in control throughout the massage - if something doesn't feel good, I will change my technique or stop!
This way your child will get empowered to develop
  • a positive self image/ body image
  • sense of personal boundaries
  • body awareness
  • ability to say NO to negative touch
